"And He (God) said, Go out and stand on the mount before the Lord.
And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind rent (tore)
the mountains and broke in pieces the rocks
before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind;
and after the wind an earthquake,
but the Lord was not in the earthquake;
And after the earthquake a fire,
but the Lord was not in the fire;
and after the fire
a still, small voice.
When Elijah heard the voice, he wrapped his face in his mantle
and went out and stood in the entrance of the cave.
And behold, there came a voice to him and said, What are you doing here, Elijah?"

QUESTION
Voices!
We have so many voices talking to us, talking at us.
It can be confusing,
How do we know what to pay attention to? What to let go of?
ANSWER
"For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them]."
Pilippians 4:8 Amplified Bible
We want to tune out the voices, the pictures, the influences that do not match God's Word.
His Word is our Road Map, our Map Quest, GPS!
God speaks to us through His Word, through The Holy Spirit,
through the authority figures in our life,
through family (parents, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, grandparents),
and Godly friends.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
What do you do, if you have someone constantly saying gossipy,
hateful, untruthful, or just plain negative things?
You know...the kind of people that just leave you feeling like
you need a shower after you talk to them.
They make you feel guilty just for listening to them,
and they rob you of your faith and joy.
"Let there be no filthiness (obscenity, indecency)
nor foolish and sinful (silly and corrupt) talk,
nor coarse jesting, (dirty jokes or hints) which are not fitting or becoming;
but instead voice your thankfulness [to God]."
Ephesians 5:4 Amplified Bible
If you have people like this around you, Be Strong!
Take the Initiative (that means take the first action).
Tell them to shhh! And if they don't, then don't hang out with them.
Take them off your buddy or friends list.
Keep a good distance between you.
Because don't think they won't rub off on you!
"Do not be misled: "Bad company corrupts good character."
1 Corinthians 15:33
If you tolerate them, listen to them
and think that it won't hurt you, because you don't want to hurt their feelings;
what will happen is,
it will bring you so far down mentally, emotionaly and spiritually,
you will start to be just like them.
Look out! Speak up for yourself! Be Strong!
Remember, Jesus lives in You, He makes you strong!
He NEVER Leaves you!
Be sure and leave a comment if you have any questions,
and let me know if you like this or not!
Love,
Miss Maria
